Alcohol Compliance Statement

Issued by Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery, licensed California Type 02 Winegrower properties operating under the Kentina Hospitality Group.
Our Commitment
Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery are licensed California winegrowers committed to the responsible production, sale, and service of wine. We operate in full compliance with California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) regulations, federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) requirements, and all applicable state and local laws governing the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages.
This statement describes the legal standards and responsible service commitments that apply to all alcohol-related activities at both winery properties, including tasting room service, direct-to-consumer wine sales, online orders, wine club shipments, and on-site events.
1. Legal Drinking Age
You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase, order, or receive any alcoholic beverage from Danza del Sol Winery or Masia de la Vinya Winery, whether in person, online, or through our wine club programs.
We enforce age verification at every point of sale and service:
- Valid government-issued photo identification is required for all tasting room guests who appear to be under 30 years of age
- Online wine purchases require affirmative age confirmation at checkout
- All wine shipments require an adult signature (21+) with valid photo ID at delivery
- Wine club enrollment requires age confirmation at signup
We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel any order where we have reasonable cause to believe the purchaser or recipient is under 21 years of age. Providing false age information to obtain alcohol is illegal and may result in order cancellation and reporting to appropriate authorities.
2. Responsible Beverage Service
All staff members over the age of 21 who serve alcohol at Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery are required to hold a current California state-approved Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, as mandated by California AB 1221 (effective July 1, 2022).
Our responsible service commitments include:
- We do not serve alcohol to any guest who is visibly intoxicated, regardless of how much they have consumed on our premises
- We do not permit any activity that encourages rapid or excessive alcohol consumption
- We offer water and non-alcoholic alternatives to all guests
- We encourage guests to plan for safe transportation before visiting
- We cooperate fully with all California ABC inspections and enforcement activities
3. Direct-to-Consumer Wine Shipping
Both Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery ship wine directly to consumers in authorized states under the privileges of our California Type 02 Winegrower licenses. All DTC shipments comply with the following:
- Wine is shipped only to states where direct-to-consumer wine shipments are currently authorized by law
- All shipments are made via licensed common carriers. FedEx Ground is our carrier of choice
- All shipment containers are conspicuously labeled: “CONTAINS ALCOHOL: SIGNATURE OF PERSON AGE 21 YEARS OR OLDER REQUIRED FOR DELIVERY,” as required by California ABC
- An adult 21 years of age or older must be present to sign for all wine deliveries. Carriers will not leave wine without an adult signature and valid identification
- We do not ship wine to PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or internationally
- All wine is sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California at the point of carrier pickup
Wine purchased from Danza del Sol Winery or Masia de la Vinya Winery is for personal consumption only. Resale of wine received through direct purchase or wine club membership without the appropriate ABC and TTB licenses is prohibited under California and federal law.
4. Bottle Labeling
All wine produced and sold by Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery carries mandatory labeling as required by federal TTB regulations and California law, including:
- Federal Surgeon General health warning
- Contains Sulfites disclosure, where applicable
- Net contents and alcohol by volume (ABV)
- Producer identification and address
- CA CRV California Redemption Value marking, in compliance with the California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act (Bottle Bill) as updated by AB 720 (October 2025). Mandatory compliance on all new production by July 1, 2026
- All label designs hold an active TTB Certificate of Label Approval (COLA)
5. Wine Club Programs
Wine club memberships at Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery are available to adults 21 years of age or older residing in states where direct-to-consumer wine shipments are permitted. By enrolling in any wine club program, members confirm they meet this requirement.
All wine club shipments are subject to the same DTC compliance standards described in Section 3 above, including carrier adult signature requirements and state authorization verification.
6. On-Site Events
All public and private events at Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery where alcohol is served are conducted under the privileges of our California Type 02 Winegrower licenses, and where applicable, under supplemental permits obtained from the California ABC.
Age verification is conducted at all events. All serving staff at events are RBS-certified. A sober event manager is designated and on-site for the duration of all events where alcohol is served.
