Shipping Policy

Applies to wine and merchandise orders from Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery, both part of Kentina Hospitality. Lodging and event bookings are not subject to a shipping policy.

1. Carrier

FedEx Ground is the preferred carrier for all wine and merchandise shipments from both Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery. Expedited shipping is available upon request and subject to additional charges.

2. States Authorized for Direct Shipment

Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we are currently authorized to ship wine directly to all states except: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Utah.

If we are unable to ship directly to your state, we may be able to arrange sale and shipment through a licensed third party. Please note that when shipping through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted directly by the winery.

State laws change regularly. If your state is not listed in the authorized zones below, contact us before assuming we cannot ship to you. We are continually working to expand our authorized states.

3. Shipping Zones and Flat Rate Shipping

Both Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery offer flat rate shipping to the following zones. Flat rate pricing does not apply to Hawaii or Alaska.

Zone 1: California

Zone 2: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada

Zone 3: Oregon, Washington

Zone 4: Texas

Zone 5: Illinois, Minnesota, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Florida

Zone 6: District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia

Contact the applicable winery for current flat rate pricing by zone. Rates are subject to change.

4. Adult Signature Required

All wine shipments comply with California and federal law regarding the sale of alcohol to minors. An adult 21 years of age or older with valid government-issued identification must be present to sign for all wine deliveries. Carriers will not leave wine packages without an adult signature.

We strongly recommend shipping wine to a business address or location where an adult is regularly available during delivery hours. If no adult is available to receive a shipment:

  • The carrier will make additional delivery attempts
  • If all attempts are unsuccessful, the shipment will be returned to the originating winery
  • Reshipment fees may apply for returned shipments

We cannot ship alcohol to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We do not ship internationally.

5. Order Processing

Most orders are processed and shipped within 2 to 3 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Wine club shipments follow the published shipment schedule for each winery.

All wine is sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California at the point of carrier pickup. By placing an order, you authorize Kentina Hospitality to engage a common carrier on your behalf to deliver your order.

6. Weather Advisory and Holds

Wine is a perishable product sensitive to temperature extremes. During periods of unusually hot or cold weather, both Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery reserve the right to hold shipments until conditions are safe for transit. Held shipments will typically be released by Friday of each week to ensure weekend delivery is not required.

Weather holds may delay a shipment by one week or more. If you need your order to ship during a weather advisory period, contact the applicable winery directly to make arrangements. Additional liability for weather damage rests with the purchaser once the carrier takes possession of the order.

Neither winery will replace wine damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment.

7. Will-Call Pickup

Both wineries offer will-call pickup as an alternative to shipping. Wine may be picked up during regular tasting room hours:

  • Danza del Sol Winery: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, seven days a week. Address: 39050 De Portola Rd, Temecula, CA 92592
  • Masia de la Vinya Winery: Sunday through Friday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Address: 40230 De Portola Road, Temecula, CA 92592

Wine club will-call members at Danza del Sol Winery have 60 days from the notification date to pick up their shipment. Unclaimed shipments will be returned to stock after the published pickup deadline. Refunds are not available for unclaimed will-call packages.

8. Merchandise Shipping

Kentina Hospitality merchandise ordered online from Danza del Sol Winery or Masia de la Vinya Winery ships via FedEx to all 50 states. Merchandise shipments do not require adult signature unless they are packaged with wine. Standard processing time is 2 to 3 business days.

For damaged merchandise received in shipping, contact the applicable winery within 3 days of receipt with a photo of the item and packaging.

9. Bottle Bill Compliance

Bottles shipped from Danza del Sol Winery and Masia de la Vinya Winery carry the CA CRV California Redemption Value marking in compliance with the California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act, as updated by AB 720 (signed October 2025). Mandatory labeling compliance on all new production is required by July 1, 2026.

10. Legal Disclaimer

All wines are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. Kentina Hospitality makes no representation as to the legal right of any individual to ship or import wine into any state outside of California. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to verify that inbound direct-to-consumer wine shipments are permitted in their jurisdiction before placing an order.
